FAQs
Does IRH Accept Insurance?
Inclusive Reproductive Healing accepts Optum and UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, and Anthem insurance plans. Always confirm coverage with your insurance to avoid unexpected fees. For all other plans, Inclusive Reproductive Healing is considered an out-of-network provider. IRH can provide you with a “super bill” to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Please check with your insurance company regarding your out-of-network benefits.
What type of payment do you accept?
IRH accepts payment via all major credit cards, HSA, and FSA. Payment is due at the time of service. Payments will be auto-billed to the card on file on the day of service.
What is your cancellation policy?
Please provide 24 hours notice when possible. No-shows (15 minutes late or no call/no show) and late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice) will be charged a late cancellation fee of $100. Insurance does not cover late fees and will be your financial responsibility.
How Do I schedule an Appointment?
You can call or text Ashley at 619.568.2608. You can also email her at ashley@inclusivereproductivehealing.com. Please note these methods are not confidential; therefore, please only include scheduling information.
What do I need to participate in therapy?
You will need an internet connection, a phone or computer, and a private space. IRH recommends keeping tissues and comfort items nearby.
How Long does therapy take? How often will we meet?
We know you want to feel better RIGHT NOW. Therapy is a process and takes as long as it takes. That said, clients start to feel better within 3-6 months, but often like to continue in therapy for about a year or longer. When you and your therapist first meet, you will determine the best frequency for you. Most meet weekly or biweekly until they start to feel better. Please know that therapy is a commitment and improvement is quicker for those that make time and space in their schedule for therapy.
Can I bring my baby with me?
Of course! We are Perinatal Mental Health therapists after all. We will tailor our sessions to fit your needs while baby is present. Children older than 2 years old will need to be in another room or entertained with an activity while we meet. EMDR therapy may not be appropriate if children are present.
Good Faith Estimate
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
